Comparative Study of Different Oral Iron Preparations in Females of Reproductive Age Group

Background: Anemia (anemia) is a decrease in the total amount of red blood cells (RBCs) or hemoglobin blood, lowered ability to carry oxygen. The commonness iron inadequacy high all age bunch females. Around 32.4% ladies have mellow deficiency, 14.19% direct sickliness, 2.2% serious weakness.
 Objective: aim study compare efficacy and safety profile oral formulations deficiency anemia.
 Methods: A cross sectional patients with anemia receiving ferric ammonium citrate, folic acid, vitamin B12and hydroxide respectively was included. were followed up once 0 day, end week, 1 month, for 3 months observed hematological improvement adverse drug reactions (ADRs). Total 350 anemic patient included study.
 Results: data analyzed 185 received 165 received, hydroxide,folic B12 significantly improved mean indices at study, however, there no significant differences between groups when compared. “All four showed similar ADR profile, difference reactions.’’
 Conclusion: Ferric citrate can be considered as best cost-effective choice treatment irons anemia.
